Bangkok •• Oct. 31, 2002 •• SolarQuest® iNet News Service •• On his first day in Bangkok, our very serious iNet News Manager, Ron Swenson, visited with Doug Parsons and Jeffery Bergman at Thai Photovoltaics. With headquarters at the United Center Building downtown, this company is planning to manufacture amorphous photovoltaic panels in Thailand, with production to be up to 20 MW per year by 2005. They have purchased a factory, identified equipment suppliers, and are now doing the financing for equipment and production. Of particular interest to the e7 Network, Thai Photovoltaics intends to donate 5% of its production to charities, especially schools, and will offer its best prices for an additional 5% of production to NGOs doing worthwhile projects. We look forward to hearing of this forward-thinking company's great success in the marketplace.

A few more photos will give readers an idea what it was like en route from Tokyo to Bangkok...

Folks are workin' on the railroad here, too.
Soon we will be joining up with the e7 team.
