What percentage of the population has electricity? Below one percent of the population. Rwanda imports electricity from neighboring countries. What natural resources does Rwanda have? Rwanda has a number of hydroelectric power generating sources. The country produces about 1.6MW of electricity. It has about 5 billion cubic liters of natural gas deposits. What is the current state of stability in Rwanda? Rwanda is currently stable. The micro-economic situation is excellent. When people hear of Rwanda they think of the genocide and they do no know that Rwanda has moved on and is stable now. What energy companies are you looking to do business with? I am looking for companies that deal with generating electricity from natural gas. What do you hope to gain from this conference? I hope to increase awareness of the business opportunities in Rwanda in terms of energy and also lay foundations for energy investment in Africa.
