Each packaged system includes one or more Gobi collectors, mounting hardware, either for tilted or flat surfaces, the Helio-Pak 16 heat exchanger appliance shown below, a storage tank, which can be part of the package or purchased locally, a non-toxic high-temperature antifreeze, and a few minor items such as air vent, safety cold water mixing valve, thermometers.

The collector is a specially developed, highly stabilized polyolefin and is of a parallel, circular channel design. It is unglazed, uninsulated, and designed for low temperature applications such as swimming pool heating/cooling, heat pumps, aquiculture, and hydroponics.
