Proposal for 5500 Watt Grid Intertie and Battery Backup Solar Electric Generation System

We are very pleased to present this proposal for a solar electric generation system. All Components are UL listed and certified for the CEC Buydown Rebate Program.

1. Quantity 56 Photowatt PW1000-105 Solar Modules.

These 56 modules are to be wired in 14 series-strings of 4 modules each. Each series-string output is a nominal 48 VDC.

2. Quantity 14, UniRac Flush Mount Model U-RF/104L Roof Mount Module Racks, which feature lightweight, corrosion resistant, durable aluminum construction. There are no painted steel components that can rust. All hardware is stainless steel or zinc plated to provide maintenance free racks for a lifetime. Designed and warranted to withstand 120 mph winds. Made in the USA.

3. Quantity 1, Trace Engineering PP-SW5548/S Power Panel Inverter which features Sine Wave Power, peak efficiency to 96%, Utility Interactive Sell Mode, LCD data and programming panel, all NEC/UL required DC and AC input/output over-current protection and disconnect breakers factory pre-wired and installed on a powder coated steel back plate. UL Listed. Made in the USA.

Installation:

Solar Technologies arranges complete turn-key installation and commissioning services with licensed contractors and will be glad to provide a proposal for your specific requirements. Estimated installation costs for the above system is $3,500 - $6,000 depending on the roof type and wiring requirements. If the owner prefers to self-install or subcontract all or part of the installation to a contractor of his choosing, we can provide installation coordination and engineering services for a fee.

Rebates:

The California Energy Commission (CEC) Emerging Renewables Buydown Program rebates will reduce the net cost of the above system components by $22,648.00. This figure is based on the CEC certification ratings of 94.6 Watts for the Photowatt PW1000-105 Modules, and 95% efficiency for the Trace SW5548 Inverter. The CEC certification rating of 94.6 Watts/module is based on PTC (PVUSA Test Conditions) power rating which is more conservative than the STC (Standard Test Conditions) power rating of 105 Watts listed in the manufacturers specifications. The above rebate estimate is therefore based on 56 modules at 94.6 watts each multiplied by the inverter efficiency of .95 equaling 5,033Watts CEC Certified System Rated Output. The CA Buydown rate is $4.50 per CEC Watt, or 50% of the system cost, whichever is less.

The applicable "maximum" Buydown for this system is $22,648.00, provided it does not exceed 50% of the systems "total cost" including the equipment cost outlined above, installation costs, permitting fees, and sales tax. You will receive a check directly from the State of California after you have completed the installation and presented a copy of the signed-off building permit.

Included in the system component pricing above are the following services:

• Design consultation
• Assistance with CEC buydown rebate application (in California)
• Assistance with utility company intertie agreement (in California)
• Assistance with local permitting authority, if located within 45 minutes from Santa Cruz, CA
• Technical support to your electrical and mechanical installers
• Customized operation and maintenance owners binder
• Owners training in system operation and maintenance

Not included in this proposal unless arranging installation through Solar Technologies:

• Mechanical and electrical installation labor
• Wiring, conduits, battery enclosure, and other electrical connection hardware
• Rack mount roof bolts and roof penetration sealant
• 5 Year System Labor Warranty, required by the CEC for rebate fulfillment
• Permitting assistance, permit fees, and any special engineering or drawing requirements

Not included in this proposal:

• Sales Tax - If applicable. CA is considering elimination of sales tax for solar.
• Shipping charges

Delivery: 3-4 weeks ARO

Quotation Validity: 30 days

Terms: 50% with order, balance due on delivery, Cash, Check, or Credit Card Accepted (small surcharge added for credit card payments)
