| This is to propose the resumption of the compelling "Solar Visions" feature that debuted in Solar Today's September/October 1998 issue, with a piece by myself and eco-artist Thomas Slagle entitled Skyscraper Solar Spires. The regular-if-intermittent presentation of stirring 'visions' and imaginative out-of-the-box ideas relative to solar-energy and sustainable-technology development and application can be an important part of environmental technology reporting and advocacy, feeding environmental planning, policy-making, education, and even entertainment. Visions of the future are the nuclei around which the future is created -- and sustainable energy and technology should be a central part of our collective societal envisioning as we move into the new 21st "solar century."
