Dear Friends of CPRT-U OR THE JUST CURIOUS ; At 7:00 PM on Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Live Oak Grange, we are sponsoring an illustrated talk talk by Steve Raney about plans to relieve traffic congestion in our neighboring city, Palo Alto. A troika of Steve, Jim Galanis from EPRI, and Jeral Poskey, a graduate student in Economics at the Stanford school of Business, have been working with others to improve the Page Mill Corridor ranging from the California Avenue station of Caltrain to Hwy 280. The success of the former has not relieved the daily congestion on Page Mill Rd. from 280 to the city. “This is an area full of corporate campuses (sic). It is almost all owned by Stanford.” Their problems are akin to our problems, and their efforts to meet them will aid in your vision of how business, housing, and transportation can be eased in Santa Cruz. We hope you will be able to fit this into your busy schedule. Sincerely yours, David H. Walworth, president
